Grito de Mujer Cause Publishes New Books

Grito de Mujer publishes two new books: poetry honoring the resilience of immigrant women, and stories against violence toward women and girls.

The Grito de Mujer cause announces the publication of its new international compilations: Frag-mentada (Frag-mented) and Grito Sin Fronteras (Scream Without Borders), both created with the collaboration of supportive writers and artists from various countries as part of its most recent call for submissions. Both volumes will be available to the public on Amazon through print-on-demand.

Grito Sin Fronteras: Más allá de muros y silencio (Scream Without Borders: Beyond walls and silence) is a poetry and art collection that seeks to highlight the resistance, challenges, struggles, and contributions of migrant women. This volume features the participation of nearly 60 poets, along with illustrations by artists such as: Frik (Spain), Madeleina Kay (United Kingdom), Sarah Hussein (Egypt), María Elena Cholula Alonso (María Cínica) from Mexico, and Anna Likhina (Ukraine).

Frag-mentada: La violencia no es un cuento (Frag-mented: Violence it's not a tale) is an anthology that brings together stories from more than 50 writers, as well as illustrations focused on the fight against violence and the recovery of self-esteem among women and girls. It includes the notable participation of artists such as Daniela Romero (Mexico), Olivia Caballero (Spain), Shilpi Drabal (India), and Manila Wall Art (Aida Vila and Manuel Martin) also from Spain.

Each story, poem, or artwork is a reflection of women’s resilience, the many ways in which violence manifests, and the strength required to resist or transform it.

These books face wounds directly, name them, and turn them into lived experience. Within their pages, literature and art come together as tools for awareness, dialogue, transformation, and hope.

“A scream can break the silence, but it can also heal. These books invite us to look, understand, and act to stop the scourge of violence that affects so many families, especially women and girls. May each person find within their pages an echo of redemption, a reflection of hope, and the shared desire for justice.”

Jael Uribe, founder of Grito de Mujer
