A REPORT OF THE WOMEN SCREAM 2020 HELD ON THE 21st OF MARCH 2020 AT THE PREMISES OF NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR MUSEUM AND MONUMENTS IN ABA, ABIA STATE, NIGERIA UNDER THE THEME : WHO IS SCREAMING FOR YOU.
Preamble: We were able to hold this years' WS event in the city of Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. Though the turn up was not as planned due to the pandemic, our program was held with women, men, youths and students in attendance.
Programs: There was spoken word, drama, keynote address, speeches, poetry, and a question/answer sessions.
The program started with a welcome call and a reminder of why we gathered, who we are, and what we do by the coordinator Mr Stephen Uche Onyegbula, after which the Acting President of Aba Poetry Club Mr Nmamdi Elekwachi gave a welcome address followed by a speech by the Curator of the Museum.
Present in the occasion were the Curator National Commission for Museum and Monument Aba, Mr Julius Ogar, Hon. Mrs. Dame. (Dr) Blessing Nwagba, former member, Abia State House of Assembly, CEO Total Blessing Foundation and Proprietress, Fulfilment International Academy, Aba, Dr. (Mrs.) Sarah Ogwudire, Coordinator, Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce (NYCC), and Association of Female Lawyers (Nigerian Chapter).
We had a well-articulated speech from the Keynote Speaker Mrs Moreino Biliyoung, on the theme WHO IS SCREAMING FOR YOU after which we had numerous performances by members of Aba Poetry Club, participating schools, and other individuals.

More speeches were given by the dignitaries present, and we ended by taking a group photograph.
I say a very big thank you for screaming for the women and the girl child once again.
Conclusion:
- It is noteworthy to mention the courage of the International Coordinator, Jael Uribe, and her love for humanity. Her mail directing us to put off the program should it pose a challenge to lives was inspiring, in fact, it strengthened me to push on.
May we continue to lend our collective voices to the ills of the society till our women and the girl child are free to fly to their desired heights.
