Woman Scream Festival (Grito de Mujer) 2026 reached Perth, Australia with a powerful afternoon dedicated to poetry, performance, and community, all in support of women and girls.
This meaningful gathering was made possible thanks to the coordination of WA Poets, whose commitment helped bring this event to life. We extend our sincere gratitude to our host, Manveen Kaur Kohli, for guiding the experience with warmth and presence, and to The Moon Cafe for providing a welcoming space for the event. We also thank all sponsors and donors who contributed to making this gathering possible.
The event featured a remarkable lineup of poets whose voices left a lasting impact: Miriam Wei Wei Lo, Abigail Sherratt, Sari Bennett, Jane Hammond, Jo Giles, Joni Boyd, and Ana Brawls. Their words resonated deeply, reflecting courage, truth, and the shared commitment to raising awareness.
Most importantly, we thank everyone who supported the work of Starick Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping women and children escape family and domestic violence.
Together, through art and collective voice, we continue to create spaces for reflection, support, and change.
