Woman Scream 2023, 13th edition, was celebrated on March 11th, 2pm at The Moon Café, of Perth, Western Australia, Organised by Christine Della Vedova and Zan Ross.
Woman Scream Perth 2023 was an event that exemplified female strength. It consisted of six talented and courageous feature poets - Sally Newman, Carly Beth, Miriam Wei We Lo, Lucy Dougan, Namu and Liana Joy Christensen. It was hosted by Lisa Collyer and Manveen Kohli. These women shared their stories of gender inequality, domestic violence, and female sexuality. These stories made us laugh, cry, and moreover; empathize with one another.
Woman Scream 2023 Perth fundraises for Starick Services. Starick runs a series of domestic and family violence refuges across Perth. Woman Scream Perth 2023 raised at least $1385 AUD for the Starick Fundation. We also raised awareness of violence towards women.

The Woman Scream Festival 2023 (Grito de Mujer ),
in its thirteenth edition was under the slogan "Mother of the Earth",
paid tribute to rural women and women activists who have lost their
lives or suffered violence defending environment's rights. This year,
and since 2022, the festival is part of the initiatives of UN Women's Generation Equality,
for the eradication of violence and its international chain, and was
celebrated from March 1 to 31, with over two hundred cultural events in 28
countries.
